Recent news stories have reported that several distraught fans of Michael Jackson (mostly overseas) have committed suicide after his death. While I was a big fan of Michael Jackson (before the bizarre years), I can’t imagine taking things to that extreme. Really? Nothing left to live for? Why? He was just a singer. Today the packers came. I think there were 6 of them, plus 1 boss, and 1 girl to speak English....and write everything down. This is the Maiden's Tower. Ruslan's Flying Carpet is located just to the right of the tower. Samir's Qizil Gul is located immediately to the left. You can't see one shop from the other with the tower in the way, so it's easy to say good bye to one and slip 'round to the other. Like, Ruslan, Samir has a reputation as a good guy to deal with. The Bubel Aiken Foundation recently had something to celebrate. The 2nd annual Golfing For Inclusion event took place at the Mirasol Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens on January 26th. John left for Kazakhstan a little while ago. He says he will be going over there pretty much every other week for the foreseeable future (the reason we are starting Russian language lessons on the 10th) and he gets to fly in one of these really cool planes! I said my farewell to Spamalot last Sunday during Clay Aiken's last show. I've seen the show about 14 times. I probably wouldn't have seen it at all if not for the fact that Clay was appearing in it. I went to see Clay and I came away with an appreciation of, and love for, so many things Spamalot. The show itself is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. Clay Aiken and Spamalot Who knew, at the beginning of 2008 that I would make three trips to NYC in the coming year, a place I hated visiting when I worked in NJ and had to go into the city on business. It's just another Christmas day. Every year, I eat dinner at my brother's house with my nephew, bro's roommates and a few friends, this year is no different except my nephew crashed his car last night and couldn't make it. He's fine but the car is not. Dinner was wonderful; we had a filet and a spiral ham with baked potatoes and The Salad. Note the capitals for 'The Salad' because it's the best freaking salad in the entire world, bar none. We don't make it too often, it's very expensive to make.. Read more

As we near the end of the year, I find myself thinking about crossroads. The three things that I’ve thought about the most this year are Clay Aiken, the election and my own life (not necessarily in that order). The country is obviously at a huge crossroads as we face the toughest economic time in decades and all eyes on the incoming administration to find the fix, sooner rather than later. Starting with Spamalot on Broadway in January, a new album - " On My Way Here " in May, becoming a father in August, announcing he is a gay man in September AND returning to Spamalot as well for the balance of the year.
